Gwen Eyestone, Cindy Kulp, Fran Willbrant and Teresa Grant were present. Information discussed included military count day, gross salaries in the Manhattan Mercury, and the budget situation.

Military Count Day
Preliminary results indicate we have an increase of 1.97% in our military students from September 22, 2009 which makes us eligible for additional funding.

Gross Salaries in the Manhattan Mercury
In the past years, USD 378 has provided the newspaper with the taxable income salaries; however, this year the Manhattan Mercury has requested gross salaries. Mr. Starnes sent an email to faculty and staff regarding an explanation by the Ned Seaton from the Manhattan Mercury. This information was shared with the members.

Budget
With permission from Mr. Starnes, information was shared with members regarding his dispute of a TV and radio commercial claiming schools had experienced an increase of 26% in their budgets. Also, members discussed that small class size was the most important aspect of USD 378. Members recommended that Mrs. Grant send out a grade school email explaining how much has been cut in base aid per pupil since school year 05-06, that $600,000 worth of cuts will be recommended to the Board of Education by the administration at the March 8th Board of Education meeting, and that a list of legislators to contact on posted on the district website.
