Overview

USD 378, Riley County, through the CPDC, implements curriculum development, including Online Curriculum and adoption. Administrators and faculty members make up the multi-tasked committee to oversee the academic program for students and professional development for teachers.

The CPDC assists teachers in maintaining Kansas Department of Education licensure and the achievement of "Highly Qualified" status. In-service activities are converted into points accepted by KSDE, along with college hours, to re-certify and obtain continuous licensure to teach in the State of Kansas. Because of the significance of these accrued points, the board, administration, and CPDC committee strive to offer applicable sessions to improve teaching methods, knowledge in content areas, and technology skills.

In addition to in-house resources, the district utilizes Instructional Consultants from Southwest Plains Regional Service Center (SWPRSC)
