March 2-6 is National School Breakfast Week, which celebrates the importance of a nutritious school breakfast in fueling students for success. Children who eat breakfast are more likely to score higher on standardized tests, be more alert, reach higher levels of achievement, maintain a healthy weight, and have better concentration and memory. But when the weeks get busy, it's easy to rush out the door in the morning without a nutritious meal. That's why school breakfast is a great option! The school breakfast program provides 12 million meals to children across the country each day.
The theme for the week is 'The Quest for School Breakfast' and USD 378 will be participating with decor in the cafeterias as well as some themed menu items:
Monday, 3/2: Dragon's Nest (Funnel Cake)
Tuesday, 3/3: Princess Parfait (Strawberry Parfait)
Wednesday, 3/4: Blacksmith's Breakfast (Egg, Cheese, & Sausage Scrambler)
Thursday, 3/5: Henhouse Harvest (Chicken Slider)
Friday, 3/6: Enchanted Sweetbread (Cinnamon Roll)
