RCHS Falcons getting ready for Friday Night against St. Mary's! The mini-cheer camp performance will also be this evening!




Riley County High School Cross Country had a great afternoon at Canning Creek Cove in Council Grove competing against area schools in a 5K race. The varsity girls took home first place and our boys came in third as a team.
Individually, we had four girls finish top 20. Out of 56 entries, Anna Lambert placed 8th, Meredith Baumann placed 10th, Claire Anderson placed 14th, Belle Hancock placed 19th, Mikaila Frese placed 24th, and Jordyn Gutsch placed 30th.
On the boys side, we had two place in the top 20. Out of 79 runners, Jeter Adams placed 6th, Kaden Gutsch placed 14th, Dash Hancock placed 27th, Cyrus England placed 42nd, Mavrick Winter placed 54th, Cooper Merriam placed 57th, and Sam Frese rounded out the varsity squad with 68th place.
While we didn’t have a full team for the JV boys, Simon Baumann and Brett Laurie represented us well. Simon placed 28th, and Brett finished in 39th, out of a total of 55 runners.











We had a great day for middle school athletics! Cross country had a strong showing at league across the board, with the highest placer being Caden Kinsey taking 3rd in the 7th grade boys division. The day was polished off with a win against Nemaha Central from 7a, 8b, and 8a volleyball and MS football beat NC 8-6. Way to go Falcons!










Congratulations on being nominated by your coach as the RCHS/Glavan Ford Student-Athlete of the Month! Student-Athlete of the Month: Sam Allen. Parents, Shane and Loree Allen, Athletic Activities: Football and Baseball. Sam is a member of the Pep Club, FCA, FBLA, and SADD. Sam is also a 4.0 student. Future Plans: Plans to become an electrician. Quotes from Coach Willimon: “Sam is a tremendous athlete but an even better young man who is committed to his faith and his community. Riley County is fortunate to have Sam Allen walk our halls and suit up for us on Friday nights.”



RCHS Volleyball hosted Perry Lecompton tonight in Big-East League action. JV went 2-0 on the night, Varsity and C Team each went 1-1. This Saturday, JV will compete at Abilene and Varsity will travel to
Concordia!

Lady Falcons VB played hard at the Wamego tournament. At the end of the day, the Falcons were in 6th place.







Teams competed at the Rim Rock Classic in Lawrence today. We had a strong competitive showing at one of the biggest meets in the entire state from both our Varsity teams.

Congratulations to the RCHS Student of the Month for August, Mara Schardein.
Mara, 12th Grade, has a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and is currently a member of Pep Club, Key Club. She is also a member of the Riley County High School softball team.
Here is what Miss Netterman had to say:
Mara is a student who is consistently giving back to her community and school. She is an active participant in many activities, classes, and sports. I love having her as a student again, for the third time! I can see so much growth in her and she is a joy to be around!
