We had a great opening night with beautiful weather for Volleyball, Football, and Cheer against the Sabetha Bluejays tonight. 7a and 7b volleyball both won in 2 sets. 8a and 8b volleyball also both won in 2 sets. Football won 30-0. Way to go Falcons!

RCHS FFA and student Council held a welcome back BBQ and parking lot party this evening. FFA students had activities and provided a BBQ pork meal for students and families. A special thanks to Blueville Nursery and Keith Westervelt for smoking the prom and providing the meal. Students played yard games and had a great time. Go Falcons!

Congratulations to the RCHS Student of the Month for August, Tanner Rhoton.
Tanner, 11th Grade, has a cumulative GPA of 3.95 and is currently a member of Key Club and FCA. He is a member of the cross country and wrestling team. Go Falcons!

The Rural Riley County Foundation is at Riley County High School Thursday and Friday, August 28th and 29th, for the annual match day. The match day provides financial support opportunities for a variety of Riley County groups. Come in and contribute to our community.

The RCHS Band concluded this year's band camp with a performance Friday evening in the gym. The band will be performing at the Leonardville Hullabaloo on Saturday, August 9th at 2:00 p.m. Go Falcons!
