
As our JH boys basketball season is ramping up, here are some pictures from our home opener against Silver Lake.
Tonight our team will travel to Saint Marys, with a combined 7/8th B game playing at 4:30, followed by 7A, then 8A after the conclusion of each game prior. All games are in the Varsity gym, and played back to back to back. Lets Go Falcons!





RCHS Basketball traveled to St. Marys tonight. JV Girls, JV Boys, and Varsity Girls all picked up a win. C Team Boys and Varsity Boys came up short. The Falcons will play at Silver Lake this Friday, tip-off at 4:30!

Thursday’s games at St Marys have been moved to a 4:30 start time due to gym combinations with games being played. Please make plans accordingly, we apologize for the inconvenience.
Also please mark your calendars, our Thursday 1/26th game at Silver Lake will also move to a 4:30 start time with the addition of a 7/8 combined C game being played at 4:30. More details will come closer to that date.


RCHS Wrestling competed at Rossville today. Jackson Shanahan individually placed 3rd in the 215 lb weight class. The Falcons will host Minneapolis on Thursday in their home dual starting at 5pm!





RCHS Basketball hosted Rossville tonight. JV Boys, C Team Boys, Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys all fall to the Dawgs. C Team Girls and JV Girls pick up a win. The Falcons will travel next Tuesday to St. Marys, tip-off at 4:30!




RCHS Basketball hosted Rock Creek tonight in Mid-East League action. The Mustangs make a clean sweep winning all games. The Falcons will host Rossville this Friday, tip-off at 4:30!




Congratulations to the RCHS Band! The Marching Falcons performed at the Universal Holiday Parade and at halftime of the Cheez-It Bowl in Orlando Florida over winter break. Thank you to Director Erin Lloyd and all the sponsors who attended and helped make the trip a success!




RCHS Basketball hosted the Beloit Trojans tonight. JV Boys, C Team Boys, JV Girls, C Team Girls, and Varsity Boys all fall to the Trojans. Varsity Girls pick up the win. Heading in to the Holiday Break Varsity Girls move to 3-2 and Varsity Boys 2-3 on the season.

Our second and final day’s schedule of the Mid East League JH Girls Basketball tournament is set
8th- Plays at approximately 10 vs Rossville, and 12 vs Wabaunsee.
7th plays at approximately 11 vs St. Mary’s and 11 vs Silver Lake.

RCHS Basketball traveled to Clay Center tonight. JV Girls, Varsity Girls, and C Team Girls fall to the Tigers. The Boys make a clean sweep winning JV, C and Varsity. The Falcons will host the Beloit Trojans next Tuesday, tip-off at 4:30!





RCHS Wrestling competed in the Onaga tournament today. As a team the Falcons placed 5th out of 20 teams. Individual placers in each of their weight classes were: Samson Waggoner 1st, Brogan Schuh 2nd, Jackson Shanahan 2nd, Makayla Truesdale 3rd, and Brad Owen 4th.


Tonight the Falcon Wrestling team competed at Rock Creek. The Falcons had 6 wins compared to Rock’s 3. Winning wrestlers were: C. England 113, S. Bishop 138, S. Waggoner 175, B. Schuh 190, J. Shanahan 215, and T. Sheaves 285. The Falcons travel to the Onaga Invitational tomorrow.


RCHS Basketball hosted the Silver Lake Eagles tonight in Mid-East League Action. JV Girls, JV Boys, C Team Boys, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Boys all fall to the Eagles. The Falcons will travel to Clay Center on Tuesday to take on the Tigers. Tip off at 4:30!





The Mid East League JH Girls Basketball Tournament schedule has been set for Tomorrow! Our JH girls come in with a 2 seed in 7th grade and will play at 10:00 against Rossville, and 1:00 against Wabaunsee. 8th grade will come in as a 4 seed and play at 11:00 against St. Marys, and 1:00 against Silver Lake. Times are subject to differentiate based on the progression of play through the day. Lets go Falcons!


FFA members traveled to Wilson, KS today to compete in a Milk Quality Contest. Members identified dairy products, different cheeses, and alternative milk flavors. The Greenhand Team took 4th place out of 16 teams. Gio Herrera-Tiritilli placed 4th and Martin Loecker placed 16th.





The Riley County High School Jazz Band and Rhythm n Blue Choir performed at local nursing homes and at RCGS today to spread some holiday cheer! Students had a great time caroling!
