RCHS Basketball hosted St. Marys tonight. JV Boys, JV Girls, Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys all picked up a win. The Falcons will travel this Friday to Wabaunsee to take on the Chargers. Games start at 4:30!

RCHS hosted a JV Basketball Tournament today. The Girls went 2-0 and the Boys went 1-1 on the day. Both teams will be back in action on Monday at home against St. Marys at 4:30!
RCHS Basketball hosted Rock Creek last night. JV and Varsity Girls picked up a win. All other teams fell to the Mustangs. The Falcons will host St.Marys on Monday at 4:30!
The RCHS Scholars Bowl Team went 3-4 in their pool today at Regionals. The Falcons answered several questions correctly but came up short of making finals in a tough Regional at St. Marys.
Senior Jacob Wendland competed this week in the FFA Job Interview Contest. Jacob had to make a resume, cover letter and was then interviewed by someone in the agricultural industry. Congrats Jacob!
USD 378 Riley County Board of Education will hold an additional special meeting on Tuesday, February 6 at 6:50pm in the RCHS Library. The previously scheduled special meeting will begin at 7:00pm. The agendas for the meetings are available on the website under Documents>District>Board of Education.

Congratulations to the RCHS Student of the Month for January, Mavrick Winter! Mavrick, a Junior, has a cumulative GPA of 3.97 and is currently a member of Tri-M, FCA, Culture Club, Pep Club, and NHS. He is also a member of the Cross Country team and serves as a student aide in ELA.
Here is what Ms. Netterman has to say about Mavrick: “Mavrick is an awesome teacher’s aide and his peers are able to feed off of his enthusiasm! He goes above and beyond for all spirit days, dances, and events. He represents RCHS with pride and shows his support by always showing up to sporting events and activities. His willingness to help shows his maturity and it has been a pleasure watching him change and grow these last three years.”

The RCHS Chess Team won the Rockhurst Chess Tournament in Kansas City today! The Falcons finished in 1st Place followed by Olathe Northwest in 2nd and Rockhurst in 3rd. Students competing today were: Drake Otto, Kaden Gutsch, Sam Frese, and Brett Laurie!

What a game tonight! The Eagles topped our 7th grade boys A and B. 8B took home the win, and 8a takes down the Eagles 37-35 in DOUBLE OVERTIME. Way to go Falcons!
Red Kingdom at Riley County! Tomorrow will be red-out day at RCGS in support of the Kansas City Chiefs 6th straight appearance in the AFC championship game. Any non-Chiefs fans feel free to wear your favorite team gear tomorrow. Lets Go Chiefs!
Welcome back Falcons! We are glad to be back in session today. Our 5th graders were treated to an Irish folksong warmup, then worked on ukuleles today. Check our our Facebook page to see kids playing along to "Thunder" by Imagine Dragons. Thanks Mrs. Kern for working with our kids!
