Congratulations to RCHS November’s Student of the Month, Jacob Gillen. Jacob, 12th grade, is a 3.00 cumulative and current 4.0 (senior year) GPA student. He is interested in the fine arts as a member of Theater, Choir, and Animation Club. Way to go Jacob!

Liam Curry and Kason Steiner were the first students to find a "Read with the Principal" bookmark in their library book! They got to read with Mr. Larson on Tuesday.


Riley County 3rd Graders had a visit from Deb, Brandon, and Logan the dog, from T. Russell Reitz Animal Shelter. They shared what services they provide for the community and what their jobs were like. Logan was a well behaved guest who loved to be pet. In return, our 3rd graders made 70 dog toys from recycled t-shirts to donate.



Congratulations to Kylea Ricketts for her signing today with Ottawa University! She will be continuing her education and softball career as a Brave! Great job Kylea and best of luck!

Thanks to our special guests who helped serve the Thanksgiving meal at RCGS on Friday!

Kaden Gutsch and Crighton McCoy created and presented a lesson on Newton’s First Law of Motion. During the lesson, the 4th grade students created their own cars with supplies provided.



Due to weather conditions all after school activities have been cancelled for today, Friday, November 22nd.
The high school had some awesome people serving lunch; Justin Ricketts, Harold Oliver, Frank VanBebber, and Samantha Brown. A big "Thank You" to the BOE for the delicious meal.

The elementary had some special guests eat lunch at school today. Pilgrims, Indians, and even some turkeys showed up!




The BOE purchased a Thanksgiving meal for the staff of USD 378 this Friday. The kitchen staff is preparing the turkey, OH HOW DELICIOUS!


Riley County Middle School Students were on hand to see the Big Boy Steam Engine pull in to Manhattan on Wednesday.
